FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The Answers You Need

WHAT SIZE DO I NEED?

There are two sizes M and L. The smaller size boots M are 110 cm long and typically are meant for leg inseam up to 87-88 cm, typically if your height is from 1.55-1.75 m. The large size boots L are 125 cm long and are meant for leg inseam larger than 88 cm, typically if your height is 1.76-2.00 m or you simply have long legs. What happens if you choose the wrong size? If too small, the boots will not reach your upper parts of the legs, the effect still will be there but you will not have the massage for the full length of your leg. If chosen too big, it will not be very comfortable and the bigger boots will slip away, therefore we strongly advise to choose the right size according to the guidelines above! However, if in doubt and your measures are on the borderline - go for the bigger size!

HOW DOES AERIFY RECOVERY TECHNOLOGY WORK?

Aerify uses air or also called pneumatic compression to create a dynamic and effective massage for your legs. By sequentially pressurising different chambers of the boots it increases lymph and blood circulation in your legs that reduces swelling and helps to recover faster by removing waste products of our metabolism like lactic acid from active lifestyle and sports. The improved flow of nutrient and oxygen-rich blood is exactly what your muscles need to be able to rebuild themselves. The process itself feels great and pleasurable like a good leg massage if the correct program and pressure is applied.

ARE THERE ANY CONTRADICTIONS?

DO NOT USE AERIFY IF YOU ARE PREGNANT OR HAVE:

Any cardiovascular disease

Acute thrombophlebitis

Deep Vein Thrombosis

Blood Clots

Open wounds or inflammation

Feel pain

Going through a surgery or have just had one

Consult your doctor if unsure that you can use External Pneumatic Compression!

CAN MY CHILDREN USE IT?

No, Aerify Recovery Technology boots are not a toy and not for children under 12 years of age. However, they can be used for young athletes above the age of 12 but only under close adult supervision, low pressures (up to 90 mmHg) and limited time up to 30 minutes a day. All contradictions apply!

WHEN AND FOR HOW LONG SHOULD I USE AERIFY RECOVERY BOOTS?

There are no restrictions when you can or should use your AERIFY Recovery boots, however, the best effect will be if you use them within 2-3 hours after your exercise. But you can also use them before your training, on a day off, in the morning or evening after a hard day standing on your feet. By default we recommend one session of 30 minutes a day but you can manually set up your individual session length up to 90 minutes. For a quick warm-up before exercise even 15 minutes of high pressure can be enough. But post-workout you can go as long as 50-60 minutes or more of relaxing compression. As long as the procedure feels pleasurable to you there are no restrictions how long or how often you should use it!

WHAT PROGRAMS AND PRESSURE SHOULD I USE?

Aerify Standard provides six different programs or modes:

A: peristaltic wave massage best for easy muscle relax (e.g after a hard day standing on your feet)

B: squential squeeze best for lymphatic drainage and flushing lactic acid (perfect post-excercise recovery mode)

C: peristaltic double wave for more intense muscle relax (more intense massage than mode A)

D: full squeeze: full pressure in all chambers at the same time, for quick and super intense massage (e.g. before exercise for 10-15 minutes OR if you want to feel the FULL POWER of Aerify)

E: Program B + C in cycle (one of the most popular modes across athletes)

F: Program A + C + D in cycle (just a great massage)

Aerify allows you to set a wide range of pressure to your boots. From 30 to 240 mmHg with 8 levels (30, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180, 210, 240). The pressure needed depends on the circumference of your legs (e.g. with thin legs normally you will need higher pressure), personal preferences and tolerance of compression. We advise to start with medium pressure - between 150-180 mmHg and then go higher or lower according to your comfort level. Please, note that the sensation should be pleasureble yet strong and firm. If you feel uncomfortable at any time we suggest to lower the pressure.

The 8 chambers can also be switched on and off individually giving you an option to avoid specific painful or tender areas of your legs.

Aerify Charge has following: 6 recovery modes

Modes A, B, C are for intense recovery sessions:

A: “sequential squeeze” best for lymphatic drainage and flushing lactic acid after exercise

B: “triple wave pulse pressure” mode for lactic acid flush and muscle relax – 2 in 1 - great after long training hours

C: “full squeeze and release” with all chambers at the same time, for a quick and super intense therapy

And modes D, E, F for muscle relaxing massages:

D: “single wave pulse pressure” mode provides an excellent relaxing massage after a long day on you legs

E: “peristaltic double wave” for an intense muscle relax

F: “peristaltic triple wave” for an even more intense muscle relax

HOW DO I WASH AND CLEAN MY AERIFY RECOVERY BOOTS?

It is important that you keep your Aerify boots and machine clean and well maintained at all times. Please, avoid using it on dirty or sweaty legs. Best recommended to use it after a shower or with clean pants. However, if needed to clean, use a wet cloth and let the boots dry naturally, do not use any electrical dryers, keep away from fire, direct sunlight or any heat source. Make sure that the water does not get into the machine since it's not water resistant. Do not wash the boots in your washing machine or a large bath or bowl of water. Do not use laundry dryers and similar devices.

HOW LONG IS THE WARRANTY FOR THE AERIFY RECOVERY BOOTS?

It's 2 years (24 months) from the date of purchase. Warranty is only applied for factory defects! If your machine or boots have problems due to bad maintenance, e.g. dropped the machine, put something heavy on it, let kids play with it, let sit too long in the sunlight, used it in a sauna, let it soak in the water, caused any other kind of damage by not using it according to the producers guidelines, then the warranty will not cover it.

MY AERIFY STANDARD MACHINE IS VERY LOUD - WHAT SHOULD I DO?

1) Put the device on a firm, flat surface.
2) Please, make sure you have removed the transport screw from the machine! There is a small hatch on the bottom of the machine. Open it and remove the screw, you will not need it anymore. The only role of the screw was to protect the machine until it arrives to you (e.g. like washing machines), it has done it's job and not needed anymore. If you don't remove it, the machine can be VERY loud and noisy!

MY AERIFY BOOTS COMPRESS THE CHAMBERS IN THE WRONG DIRECTION - WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Please, change the direction how you have attached the hoses (the tubes) to the boots. That will fix the problem.

THE COMPRESSION IS VERY WEAK! WHAT IS WRONG?

It can be that you are using Aerify Standard in a 110V electricity network (e.g. USA, Mexico). The Aerify Standard machine is designed for 220V/ 50Hz only like in Europe that means if you want to use it, for example, in USA, you need a voltage trasformer (a simply plug converter won't do it) that transforms the 110V to 220V.

For travelling we recommend to get Aerify Charge instead - it has world voltage capabilities and will be perfectly working in 110V-240V electricity networks!

SOME OF THE CHAMBERS OF THE BOOTS ARE NOT FILLING - WHAT CAN I DO?

1) Check if all air hose to boots connections are tight;

2) Check if you are not sitting on one of the air hoses (tubes);

3) Check if the air hoses are not bent or blocked;

4) Remove the air hose plug from the machine and feel with your hands if on mode D the air comes from all air holes. If yes, then check again the air hoses (tubes) if not blocked, bent of sat on!

CAN I TRAVEL WITH THE AERIFY RECOVERY BOOTS?

Yes, the weight of the full Aerify system is approximately 4-5kg, that means if you air travel you can fit it even in your hand luggage. Since the Aerify Standard machine does not have a lithium battery, it's safe to put it in any luggage. Just make sure you pack it properly with soft support not to cause any damage. However, for the Aerify Charge machine - the boots you can pack in the big luggage and the small machine (1.45 kg only) must go with your hand luggage due to rules of most airlines.

CAN I USE THE BOOTS ALSO FOR MY ARMS OR OTHER PARTS OF THE BODY?

We do not recommend using Aerify boots for any other body parts because it's designed for legs only!

ARE 8 CHAMBERS OF THE AERIFY RECOVERY BOOTS BETTER THAN 4, 5 OR 6 LIKE OTHER BRANDS?

YES! Aerify does not compromise on the performance of the boots therefore we have chosen the best boot technology in the market which is 8 chambers that give you the most gradual, smoothed, sequential pressure available. In combination with 240 mmHg pressure it gives your the maximum feel of the air compression technology of today! Also if you want to lock out only one chamber, you don't have to disable 25% of the boots but only one small part of them.
